More about Ruth Hickman
Ruth Hickman, well-known as a Christian leader in the Rocky Mountain region, shares God’s Word with
clarity and inspiration. She and her husband, Chuck, founded Abundant Word Ministries in 1980. The
application of spiritual wisdom and knowledge from both the Old and New Testaments to the realities of our
world today has become the hallmark of her teaching ministry.
She has been called "the teacher with the caring heart" because of her ability to convey God’s message in
ways that make a difference in the lives of people. Ruth has an anointing of power and revelation in both Old
and New Testament truths. Moreover, Ruth’s interest in the Old Testament has led her into extensive studies
of the Jewish heritage of the church and the significance of Jewish feast days as they relate to the modern
day church and to prophecy.
Growing up in rural Iowa, she has a special burden to reach people in small communities who have limited
access to sound Bible instruction. Her desire, through her teaching, is to bring unity to the body of Christ and
to help believers to grow and mature in God’s Word. Her video and audio study series are available in a wide
range of topics.
Frequently invited to speak across the country at luncheons, seminars, and conference retreats, Ruth
has been a guest on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and "It’s A New Day" - TV program in
Winnipeg, Canada, and has taught a weekly radio series. Ruth is currently in Who's Who in America
and has been in Who's Who in Religion.
She has authored several books including "Hope for Hurting People" published by Whitaker House.
Her personal Bible study notes have been recently published into quarterly daily devotionals -- 365
redemptive chapters.
